Two trains for Delhi leave Jaipur at 8.30 a.m and 9.00 am and travel at 40 km/hr and 60 km/hr respectively. How many k.m away from Jaipur will the two trains meet.

A) 100 km

Solution:

Required distance = (9.00 – 8.30) × \(\left ( \cfrac {40\times60}{60-40} \right )=\cfrac{1}{2}\left ( \cfrac {40\times60}{20} \right )\)= 60 km.
