Counting from the right, to which subject does the 39th book belong?

B) Psychology
C) Geography
D) Science

Solution:

The 39th book from the right is the 12th book from the left, which is History.

Let the Geography books be labelled as G1, G2…… G7; History books as H1, H2 …….H8; Literature books as L1, L2 ………. L13; Psychology books as P1, P2, …… P8 and Science books as S1, S2, …… S14.

Then, their order from left to right is as shown below:
