Error in the question (Question:68212.2)

For the year 2013 the total amount mentioned in the question is 24000 instead 2,40,000 please correct that error.

DIRECTIONS: These questions are based on the information given below. The pie chart give the breakup of expenses of a family in 2013 and 2014.




From 2013 to 2014 the expensed in which category increased by the highest percentage?
Options:
A) Rent.
B) Education.
C) Medical.
D) Food.
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (b)


Food = \(\cfrac{15800}{48000} \ \times\)100 = 32.9%

Education = \(\cfrac{28200}{24000} \ \times\)100= 117.5%

Rent = \(\cfrac{12300}{31200} \ \times\)100 = 39.4%

Entertainment = \(\cfrac{16200}{36000} \ \times\)100 = 45%

So the higher percentage increase in the education expenses.
