The average monthly salary of all employees in a factory is ₹10,560 and that of 32 officers is ₹12,000. If the average monthly salary of workers is ₹8,000, Find the number of workers in the factory.
Options:
A) 22
B) 16
C) 18

Solution:

Let the number of workers in the factory be ‘x’.

Given,

⇒32 × 12000 + x × 8000 = (32 + x) 10560

⇒(10560 - 8000)x = 32 (12000 - 10560)

⇒x = 18

Total salary of officer + total salary of worker/total employee = 10560

so, (32*12000)+(X*8000)/(32+X) = 10560
or, (32*12000)+(X*8000) = 10560(32+x)
