PLEASE CLARIFY THE RATIO OF DISTRIBUTION OF BOYS & GIRLS IN INSTITUTES

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Study the following graph carefully and answer the given questions.




What is the total number of boys in all the Institutes together?

Options:
A) 13350
B) 14700
C) 19670                            
D) 16280
E) None of these
Solution:

Sol: (c)

A = 35000 × \(\cfrac{18}{100}\times\cfrac{7}{10}\) = 4410

B = 35000 × \(\cfrac{22}{100}\times\cfrac{1}{2}\) = 3850

C = 35000 × \(\cfrac{31}{100}\times\cfrac{4}{10}\) = 4340

D = 35000 × \(\cfrac{15}{100}\times\cfrac{6}{10}\)= 3150

E = 35000 \(\times\cfrac{14}{100}\times\cfrac{8}{10}\) = 3920

Total number of boys in all the Institute=19670
