describe solution of this question in more clear manner, not in a short form.

Question:
In 30 Liter mixture of wine and water, the ratio is 7: 3 respectively. Find the quantity of water to be added in the mixture in order to reverse the ratio.
Options:
A) 25 Liter
B) 10 Liter
C) 40 Liter
D) 20 Liter
E) 30 Liter
Solution:

Calculate the quantity of wine and water in the mixture.

Quantity of wine = 30 \(\times\left ( \cfrac {7}{7+3} \right )=21 Liter\)

Quantity of water = 30 \(\times\left ( \cfrac {3}{7+3} \right )=9 Liter\)

21/ (9+X)= 3/7

147=27+3X

3X= 147-27

3X= 120

X= 40

its easy enough....

the ratio of wine and water in the mixture is 7:3.

% of wine in the mixture = 70%

% of water in the mixture= 30%

Now, we have to add water in the mixture to reverse the ratio:

% of wine in the mixture = 100-70 = 30%

% of water in the mixture= 100-30 = 70%

so, required quantity of water = 40 liters
