in first coloum there is given only each species so we cant decide whether it is a seed bearing species or not so how can we connect it with the D sentence...explain me please

Question:

DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, two columns are given containing three sentences/phrases each. In the first column, sentences/phrases are A, B and C and in the second column the sentences/phrases are D, E and F. A sentence/phrase from the first column may or may not connect with another sentence/phrase from the second column to make a grammatically and contextually correct sentence. Each question has five options, four of which display the sequence(s) in which the sentences/phrases can be joined to form a grammatically and contextually correct sentence. If none of the options given forms a correct sentence after combination, mark (e), i.e. “None of these” as your answer.

Column (1)

Column (2)

(D) but what ties them together is that they all lack seeds.

(B) Newspapers seldom print anything interesting these

(E) expression is being used in non-military contexts as well.

(C) The main reason ferns fascinate

(F) is an ecologically sensitive area and a habitat.

A-D

C)

B-E

D)

E)

None of these

Solution:

Ans: (b) The correct answer choice is option (b). Rest of the sentences fail to construct meaningful, grammatical and contextually correct sentences. The right choice is option A-D option (b). The sentence should read ‘Each species has its own set of distinct features but what ties them together is that they all lack seeds’.
