how 10 came???anyone pls explain

Question:

A number is selected at random from the natural numbers 1 to 50. Find the probability that the number selected is either a multiple of 3 or that of 5.

Options:
A) 11/25
B) 14/25
C) 27/50
D) 19/50
E) None of these
Solution:

Ans: (e) Number of ways to select a natural number from 1 to 50 = 50

Multiple of 3 in the given range = 16

Multiple of 3 in the given range= 10

Multiple of 3 and 5 i.e. 15 in the given range = 3

Number of ways to select a natural number that is either a multiple of 3 or that of 5 = 16 + 10 – 3 = 23

Required probably = 23/50
