CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN THE SECOND CONCEPT,,OR TELL WHERE TO STUDY THE 2ND CONCEPT

Question:
Kamla got married 6 years ago. Today her age is 1 \(\frac{1}{4}\) times her age at the time of marriage. His son’s age is (\(\frac{1}{10}\)) times her age. The age of her son is:
Options:
A) 2 years
B) 3 years
C) 4 years
D) 5 years
E) None of these
Solution:
Let the present age of Kamla be ‘x’ years

∴ 6 years ago her age = (x – 6)

years According to the question

x = 1 \(\frac{1}{4}\) × (x – 6)

⇒ x = \(\frac{5}{4}\) (x – 6)

⇒ 4x = 5x – 30

⇒ 30 = 5x – 4x

⇒ x = 30

So, her son’s age = \(\frac{1}{10}\) × 30 years = 3 years.

Second concept:-

Age of son = \(\frac{1}{10}\) × 30 = 3 years.
