sir ,, -5 dono me hai means x=y,, but 6>4,, means y>x,, dono ko combine karne par x

Question:
DIRECTION : In the given question two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and Give answer if


I. x2 + x – 20 = 0 

II. y2 – y – 30 = 0

Options:
A) x > y
B) x ≥ y
C) x < y
D) x ≤ y
E) x = y or the relationship cannot be established
Solution:

x2+ x – 20 = 0

x2 + 5x – 4x – 20 = 0

x(x + 5) -4(x + 5) = 0

x = -5, 4

II. y2 – y – 30 = 0

y2 - 6y + 5y – 30 = 0

y (y - 6) + 5(y - 6) = 0

y = 6, -5

Given answer is correct.........option(e) is correct...

I. x2+ x – 20 = 0
x2 + 5x – 4x – 20 = 0
x(x + 5) -4(x + 5) = 0
x = -5, 4
II. y2 – y – 30 = 0
y2 - 6y + 5y – 30 = 0
y (y - 6) + 5(y - 6) = 0
y = 6, -5

-5<6 means x<y
-5=-5 means x=y
4<6 means x<y
4>-5 means x>y


Here all the three signs appear....Hence, its no possible.....Thats why No relationship can be established....
