P, Q and R divide an amount of Rs.8400 among themselves in the ratio of 6 : 7 : 8 respectively. If Rs.250 is added to each of their shares, what will be the new ratio of their shares?

Solution:
Ans: (e) P : Q : R = 6 : 7 : 8

Share of P = 6/21 x 8400 = Rs.2400

Share of Q = 7/21 x 8400 = Rs.2800

Share of R = 8/21 x 8400 = Rs.3200

New ratio after added Rs.250 = 2650 : 3050 : 3450 = 53 : 61 : 69
