ans is Correct..

Question:
A man purchases 11 pencils for Rs. 10 and sells 10 pencils for Rs. 11. How much profit does he make?
Options:
A) 11.33%
B) 11%
C) 21%
D)

9.09%

E)

13%

Solution:

Suppose the person bought 11 × 10 pencils.

CP of 110 pencils = \(\cfrac{10}{11} ×110 = \unicode{x20B9} 100\)

SP of 110 pencils = \(\cfrac{11}{10} ×110 = \unicode{x20B9} 121\)

∴ Percentage profit = \(\cfrac{121-100}{100}=21\%\)
