Which of the following is the FIFTH sentence after the rearrangement?

Options:
A) C
B) B
C) F
D) D
E) E
Solution:
Ans: (c)

The foregoing passage is about a wife’s role in boosting the morale and ego of her husband when they are down. The first sentence begins with an address by the author to all the married ladies (wives). The first sentence is (C). The second sentence (E) takes a step ahead and tells wives what they have to do in order to encourage their husbands. The pronoun “them” used in the second sentence (E) has its antecedent (husbands) in the first sentence (C). Thereby, a grammatical relationship is built between the first two sentences. Moreover the series of little incidents mentioned in (E) is reference to the incidents in (C). The third sentence (D) follows a logical sequence. There’s a logical and grammatical relationship between the phrases “A series of little incidents in (E) and “At times like these” in sentence (D). The plural demonstrative pronoun these” refers to the plural noun “incidents. “In the fourth sentence (A) the author advises wives how they can help to rebuild their husbands self-esteem. In the Second-last sentence (B), the author states a universal principle used in boosting a man’s ego and building his confidence. The last sentence (F) adds to what is stated in (B). All the six sentences are united by one common theme: a wife’s role in encouraging her husband when his morale is low. The logical sequence of the five sentences is CEDABF.
