Here "some waves are not codes" conclusion is wrong.. please explain how???? Because some codes are not letters and some waves are definitely letters therefore some waves are not codes.. (according to me :/ ) Please explain why I am wrong....

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In each question below is given few statements followed by few conclusions. You have to assume everything in the statements to be true, then consider the conclusions together and decide which of them logically follows beyond a reasonable doubt from the information given in the statement.

Statements:

No word is a code.

Some codes are not letters.

All letters are waves.

All fives are waves.

Conclusions:

I. Some waves are not codes.

II. All codes are waves.

III. Some codes are fives.

IV. All waves are letters.

Options:
A) Only I and II follow
B) Only I follows
C) Only III and either I or II follow
D) Either I or II follows
E) None follows
Solution:
Ans: (e) The basic diagram for the given statement is

From the above basic diagram,

Conclusion I, negative follows,

As the negative conclusion follows, let us try to negate it by drawing an alternative diagram.

The negation of I is ‘All waves are codes’.

As conclusion I is negated, it does not follow.

Conclusion II, affirmative does not follow.

Conclusion III, affirmative, does not follow.

Conclusion IV, affirmative does not follow.

∴ None follows.

As the negative conclusion follows, its is being negotiated by drawing an alternative diagram.....only the conclusion is considered to be true....which will satisfy all the possible diagram....
