confusion (Question: 113850.0 )

By approximation my answer is 180.. but in solution 140 is the answer.. how??? We can take 0.58% as 1% and 1.96% as 2% therefore the approx value is coming around 180....

Question:

DIRECTIONS: What approximate value will come in place of the question mark?


(0.58% of 8963) + (1.96% of 4568) =?

Options:
A) 180
B) 130
C) 165
D) 140
E) 125
Solution:
Ans:  (d) 

(10.58% of 8963) + 1.96% of 4568 = ? 

= 50.9796 + 89.328 

= 140

1.96% as 2% is good.....

But How you can consider 0.58% as 1%.........its too much........you can consider it as 0.6% ....

Calculate now, you will get the value around 140......Given answer is correct....
