how p=q?

i guess p>q

please explain

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, two equations numbered I and II are given. Solve both the equations and given your answer as:

I. P2 – 122 = 212 + 14

II. q2 + 152 = 396

Options:
A) If p > q
B) If p ≥ q
C) If p < q
D) If p ≤ q
E) If p = q or relationship cannot be established
Solution:

Ans: (e)

P2 – 122 = 212 + 14

P2  = 441 + 14 + 144

P2 = 599

P = ±\(\sqrt{599}\)

q2 + 152 = 396

q2 = 396 – 225

q2 = 171

q = ± \(\sqrt{171}\)

Dear Student,

Here,

We have p = + square root of 599 , - square root of 599

= +24.47, -24.47

q= + square root of 171, + square root of 171

= +13.07, -13.07

24.47 > 13.07 means p>q
24.47 > -13.07 means p>q
-24.47 > 13.07 means p>q
-24.47 < -13.07 means p<q

> and < never occur together in inequality. Hence, no relationship can be made.
