Domestic consumption = Production – Exports

Per capita consumption = (Domestic consumption)/Population

What was the average annual growth rate in the population of the state from 2012 to 2016?
Options:

B) 15.7%   
C) 16.5%   
D) 17.6%

Solution:

Ans: (d)

The population of the state in 2012

= 1,20,000

The population in 2016 = 2,04,350

The percentage increase

= \(\cfrac{204.35 - 120}{120 }\)  × 100 = 70.3%

The average annual percentage increase = \(\cfrac{70.3}{4}\) = 17.6%
