DIRECTIONS: Study the following information carefully to answer the given questions:


A movie production house releases eight movies - Q, R, S, T, V, W, Y and Z only in India. The movies were released one after the other over a period of eight years. The order in which the movies were released is consistent with the following conditions:


(i)  V is released before both Y and Q.

(ii)  Q gets released after Z.

(iii) T gets released before V but after R.

(iv) S gets released after V.

(v)  R gets released before W

Which one of the following could be true?

Options:
A) Y is the second movie to be released 
B)

R is the third movie to be released

C) Q is the fourth movie to be released
D)

S is the fifth movie to be released

E) None of these
Solution:

Ans: (d) (a) does not hold since Y must have V, R and T before it.

(b) does not hold as R must have each one of Q, S, T, V, W and Y after it.

(c) does not hold as Q must have each one of V, R, T and Z before it.

If S is the fifth movie to be released, then we have the sequence R, W, T, V, S, Y Z, Q which satisfies all the above conditions. So, (d) holds.

Dear Student, video solution of this question is not available.
First of all arrange all the sentence given seperately and then combine it, now place the Z as said in the question and then check all the options given.
