the calculation is not correct

Question:
A person spends 45% of his salary on household affairs and 15% on shopping and left saves. If his saving at the year be Rs.150,000. What is his monthly salary?
Options:
A) 29250
B) 30250
C) 31250
D) 33250
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans (c)

Total spend = 60%
Saves = 40%
Let the monthly salary be x
40% of x = 150000
(40/100) \(x\times\)= 150000
x = \(\cfrac{150000\times 100}{12\times40}\)
x =Rs. 31250
