T=B>= M , in this T is greater than M follows.
and also T=B

Question:

DIRECTIONS: In the following questions the symbols +, -, ×, ÷, and = are used with the following meaning as illustrated below:

‘P + Q’ means ‘P is neither greater than nor equal to Q’.

‘P - Q’ means ‘P is not smaller than Q’.

‘P × Q’ means ‘P is not greater than Q’.

‘P ÷ Q’ means ‘P is neither smaller than nor greater than Q’.

‘P = Q’ means ‘P is neither smaller than nor equal to Q’.

Now in each of the following questions assuming the given statements to be true, find which of the two conclusions I and II given below them is/are definitely true.

Statements:

T÷ B, M × B, J - B

Conclusions:

I. T = M

II. T = J

Options:
A)

Only Conclusion I is true.

B) Either Conclusion I or II is true.
C) Neither Conclusion I nor II is true.
D) Both Conclusions I and II are true.
E) Only Conclusion II follows.
Solution:

Ans: (c)

Given,

+ → P < Q

- → P ≥ Q

× → P ≤ Q

÷ → P = Q

= → P > Q

T = B, M ≤ B, J ≥ B

∴ J ≥ T = B

  M < B = T

I. T = M  (T>M)              (False)

II. T = J  (T>J)                (False)

Given,

× → P ≤ Q
÷ → P = Q
= → P > Q

T = B, M ≤ B, J ≥ B
∴ J ≥ T = B ≥ M

I. T = M (T>M) (False)
II. T = J (T>J) (False)
