Approximation is wrongly done. (Question: 99491.0 )

the answer 203 is closer to 205 than 200. Therefore , 205 should be the correct answer.

What approximate value should come in place of question mark (?)? (Note: You are not expected to calculate the exact value.)


57% of 394 -2.5% of 996 = ?

Options:
A) 215
B) 175 
C) 200
D) 180
E) 205
Solution:

= \(\cfrac{394\times57}{100}-\cfrac{996\times2.5}{100}\)

= \(\cfrac{394\times57}{100}-\cfrac{1000\times2.5}{100}\)

≈ 225 – 25

≈ 200

∴ Required answer = 200

you calculate exact value is 200.since i had add some value so did minus.
