how i solve this question in short time......any trick?

In which of the given years state Q has the maximum percentage contribution in the total production?

Options:
A) 1986

Solution:

Ans: (a) In year 1986, contribution of state Q in the total production = \(\cfrac{65\times100}{352}\) = 18.46%

In year 1987, contribution of state Q in the total production  =  \(\cfrac{63\times100}{376}\) = 16.75%

In year 1988, contribution of state Q in the total production= \(\cfrac{55\times100}{389}\) = 14.14%

In year 1989, contribution of state Q in the total production = \(\cfrac{60\times100}{406}\) = 14.78%

In year 1990, contribution of state Q in the total production = \(\cfrac{45\times100}{412}\) = 10.92%

So in the year 1986, contribution of state Q in the total productionwas maximum
