Answer should be different (Question: 86518.0 )

in the question it has said distance between two places a and b not at a place you have mentioned distance at a place in this way it does not justify the question..

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Seven flags A, B, C, D, E, F and G are put in such a way that the distance between the next two decreases by 1 m. The distance between the first two flags, A and B, is 10 m. Now answer the following questions.

If one flag is removed and the remaining are placed on equal distances among the two corner flags, then each set of two flags would be ________ meter apart.

Options:
A) 8\(\cfrac{1}{2}\)
B) 7\(\cfrac{1}{2}\)
C) 9
D) None of these.
Solution:
Ans: (c) After removing the flag the remaining flags are 6, then distance between two flags would be
