answer will be either 0 or 2 ..how come 2 is the answer .. cases are many

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Answer these questions based on the information given below.


Eight shops of eight different colours — red, yellow, green, blue, violet, pink, brown and white are on two sides of a road. There are four shops on each side of the road and each shop is facing another shop on the other side of the road. Further the following information is known about the shops.


(i) The pink coloured shop is diagonally opposite to the brown coloured shop. Pink coloured shop faces south.


(ii) The red coloured shop is opposite to the yellow coloured shop and is in the same side as the green coloured shop.


(iii) The violet coloured shop is opposite to the white coloured shop but is not on the same side as the blue coloured shop.Green coloured shop is to the immediate left of Red colored shop.


(iv) The blue and brown coloured shops are on the same side of the road. Blue coloured shop is at one of the ends.
How many shops are there in between the blue and brown coloured shops?
Options:
A) 0
B) 1
C) 2
D) Cannot be determined
E) None of these
Solution:

There are two shops between the blue and brown coloured shops.

From (ii), the red and yellow coloured shops are opposite to each other, The red and green coloured shops are on the same side. From (iii), the violet and white coloured shops are opposite to each other. Blue and white colour shops are on the same side of the road.


From (i) As. the pink and brown coloured -shops are at diagonally opposite positions, the blue, white and yellow coloured shops must be on the same side of the road.

∴ The red, green and violet are on the other side.


As, the red and yellow coloured shops are opposite each other and the violet and white coloured shops are opposite to each other therefore the green and blue coloured shops are diagonally opposite each other.

only 2 is correct because in both the cases Blue and Brown coloured shops occupy at the end....
