Answer is wrong . Answer should be 30, (Question:617933.0)

According to question, for 1st 30km fare is Rs. c and for next 40km it is Rs 2.5 per km means 40*2.5=100 and for further 30km it is Rs. 1.5 per km mean 30*1.5= 45 so total fare is c+100+45= 175 mean c=30

Question:
The fare for a bus journey is Rs.c for the first 30 km of journey, Rs.2.50 per km for the next 40 km and Rs.1.50 per km thereafter. A customer travelled a distance of 100 km and paid an amount of Rs.175. Find the value of c.
Options:
A) 25
B) 30
C) 35
D) 40
E) None of these   
Solution:

According to question;

c + 40 x 2.5 + 1.5 x 30= 175

c =175 - 145=30

c = 30
