In 2002 if 20% of total production is 52,000 then total production will be equal to 2,60,000.

In 2002 Maruti production is 45% of 2,60,000 which equals to 1,17,000.

Now
Maruti in 2002= 1.3 times of 2000

so production of maruti in 2000= maruti's production in 2002 divided by 1.3 which equals to 90,000 now which equals 50% of total production in 2000.
so total production in 2000 would be 1,80,000
Now production of omni in 2000 is 25% of 1,80,000 i.e 45,000.

Please clarify

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Study the following graph carefully and answer the questions that follow:

The total production of cars by Maruti Auto Ltd in the year 2002 was 1.3 times of that in the year 2000. If the number of Esteems produced in the year 2002, were 52,000, then how many Omnis  were produced in the year 2000?
Options:
A) 50,000
B) 70,000
C) 65,000
D) 75,000
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (a) In the year 2002, number of esteems produced = 20% of total production.

If 20% is 52,000 then 100% is = \(\cfrac{100}{20}\) × 52,000 = 2,60,000

Hence, total production in 2002 = 2.6 lakhs.

⇒ Total production in 2000 = 2.6/1.3 lakhs = 2 lakhs

∴ Number of Omni produced in 2000 = 25% of 2 lakhs = 50,000

Alternatively: Number of Omni produced in 2000 = \(\cfrac{100}{20}\) × \(\cfrac{52000}{1.3}\) × \(\cfrac{25}{100}\) = \(\cfrac{25}{20}\) × \(\cfrac{52000}{1.3}\) = 50,000

Okay 1.3 times of total production in 2002 but not 1.3 times of production of maruti's in 2002.
Got it
