check and revert immediately

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the given question two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer if:

I. x – \(\sqrt{121}\) = 0

II. y2– 121 = 0

Options:
A) x > y
B) x ≥ y
C) x < y
D) x ≤ y
E) x = y or the relationship cannot be established
Solution:

I. x = \(\sqrt{121}\) = +11

II. y2 = 121

∴ y = ±\(\sqrt{121}\) = ± 11

@Phalguni: Since, +12 and -12 both are less than 13 so x is less than y.

Can't be determined will be the answer when value of y is less than +12 and greater than -12.
