plz solve it by another method which will be really helpful....

Question:
A certain amount of money lent at compound interest becomes 2.25 times itself in 3 years. If the rate of interests for the first, second and the third years are in the ratio 4 : 5 : 10, find the rate of interest for the third year given that the interest is compounded annually?
Options:
A) 30%
B) 45%
C) 50%
D) 55%
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (c)

Choosing option (A), the rate of interests will be 12%, 15% and 30%. The net interest in this case will be definitely less than 125%

Similarly choosing option (C), the rate of interests will be 20%, 25% and 50%

The net interest in this case will be 125%

Alternate solution:

Compound Interest = 1.25

Now, apply formula,

CI = a+b+c + (ab+bc+ca)/100 + abc/100^2

put a=4x, b=5x, c=10x and CI = 1.25

On simplifying,

2x^3 + 110x^2  + 1900x - 12500 = 0

By hit and trial method,

x=5

So, third year interest = 10x = 10*5 = 50%
