is there any other method to solve this apart from pick up from option ....kindly advice

Question:
A train was late by 6 minutes. The driver increased its speed by 4 km/ hr. At the next station, 36 km away, the train reached on time. Find the original speed of the train.
Options:
A) 32 kmph
B) 33 kmph
C) 34 kmph
D) 36 kmph
E)

None of these

Solution:

Ans (d)

Pick up the option

Distance given = 36 km.

If speed 36 km./hr.

Time = 1 hr

If speed is increased by 4 km./hr.

then speed = 40 km./hr.

\(\cfrac{D}{S}=\cfrac{36}{40}×60=54\) min.

∴ Time saved = 6 min.
