15x2=30 (Question: 103293.0 )

Wht if we consider fraction for 30 is 15x2 and root as -15/2 and 1???

Question:
Directions : In the given question two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and Give answer if



I. x2 – 6x = 7

II. 2y2 + 13y + 15 = 0

Options:
A) X > Y
B) X ≥ Y
C) X < Y
D) X ≤ Y
E) X = Y or the relationship cannot be established
Solution:

I. x2 – 6x = 7

⇒ x2 – 7x + x – 7 = 0

⇒ x(x – 7) + 1(x – 7) = 0

⇒ (x + 1) (x – 7) = 0

⇒ x = -1 or 7

II. 2y2 + 13y + 15 = 0

⇒ 2y2 + 10y + 3y + 15 = 0

⇒ 2y (y + 5) + 3(y + 5) = 0

⇒ (y + 5) (2y + 3) = 0

⇒ y = -5 or - \(\frac{3}{2}\)

Dear Student,

Given equation-
2y^2+13y+15=0
If we break 30= 15*2
2Y^2+15y-2y+15
y(2 y+15)-1(2 y+15) after solving we get the 2y^2+15y-2y-15 we get different expression which given in question here we get -15 in expression but in question +15 thus we can't take 15*2 for 30.
