What sum of money will amount to Rs.1,768 in 3 years at simple interest in the rate of interest for the three years are respectively \(2\cfrac{1}{4}\)%,\(3\cfrac{1}{2}\)% and \(4\cfrac{3}{4}\)%.

Solution:
\(2\cfrac{1}{4}+3\cfrac{1}{2}+4\cfrac{3}{4}\)%=\(10\cfrac{1}{2}\)%
Therefore, P=\(Rs.\cfrac{1768\times100}{100+(10\cfrac{1}{2})}\,\,\,\,\,\,=Rs.1600\)
