The question states "principal becomes 5 times after 5 years" i.e. principal + interest for five years= 5 times of principal => interest for five years = 4 times of principal.
But your answer assumes "when principal becomes 5 times interest will also be 5 times".
Actually the question is not properly explained.

Question:

The simple interest on a sum of money for 10 years is Rs 3130. If the principal becomes 5 times after 5 years, then what will be the total interest (in Rs) obtained after 10 years?

Options:
A)

     6260

B)

     7825

C)

     9390

D)

     15650

Solution:

 S.I of 10 years = Rs 3130

   S..I of 1 year  =  313010=Rs 313

S..I of 5 year  = 313×5=Rs 1565

When principal becomes 5 times interest will also be 5 times

So, Interest of next 5 years =  1565×5=Rs 7825

   Total Interest = (7825+1565) = Rs 9390
