Your solution shows the correct answer is E but the answer provided is B. Even I got answer "E" which is not given in option so i opted for "not among these". But you told it wrong. Please check once.

Question:

DIRECTIONS: These questions are based on the following information.

Six boys - A, B, C, D, E, and F are sitting in row-I facing to the North and six girls  P, Q, R, S, T and U – are sitting in row - II facing to the South. Each person sitting in row-I is facing exactly to the another person sitting in row-II.

T is sitting opposite D, who is not sitting at any of the extreme end. P is to the immediate left of T. E is neither sitting at any extreme end nor adjacent to D. U is sitting opposite C, who is second to the left of F. Exactly three persons are sitting between P and U. Neither Q nor R are neighbors of U. S is not sitting adjacent to Q. B is to the immediate right of A.

Who is sitting opposite 'S'?

Options:
A) A
B) F
C) E
D) Cannot be determined
E)

None of these

Solution:

Ans: (c)

Given, 6 boys - A, B, C, D, E and F  are facing to the North and 6 girls - P, Q, R, S, T and U are facing to the South.

T is sitting opposite ‘D’, who is not at any extreme end. Exactly three persons are sitting between P and U. P is to the immediate left of T, U is sitting opposite ‘C’, who is second to the left of ‘F’.

The possible cases are,

(1)  U - - T P  - ↓

       C - F D - - ↑

(2)  - U - - E T P ↓

       ↑ - C – F D -

Case (2) can be eliminated as Q and R cannot be the neighbours of ‘U’, ‘S’ is not adjacent to Q, E is neither at extreme end nor adjacent to D. B is to the right of ‘A’.

Therefore the only possible case is.

Girls:  U S R T P Q↓

Boys: ↑ C E F D A B

‘E’ is sitting opposite ‘S’.
