UP Civil Judge Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023

Uttar Pradesh High Court will prescribe the eligibility criteria for the UP Judiciary Exam in the official notification.

You can apply for the exam only if you satisfy the UP PCS J eligibility regarding age, qualification, and other criteria mentioned below:

  • Nationality - You must be a citizen of India.
  • Civil Judge Age Limit - Your minimum age should be 22 years to apply for the exam, and the upper age limit is 35 years.
  • Educational Qualification - You must have completed a Bachelor of Law from a University established by Law in the UP or the any other University of India recognized for this purpose by the Governor.

Bihar Judicial Services Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023

Karnataka Civil Judge Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023

Direct Recruitment

  • Nationality - SC or ST category should not exceed 38 years, which is 35 years for other categories.
  • Judiciary Exam Qualification - You must have a law degree to apply for the exam.

  • Experience - You must have been practising as an Advocate or Pleader in any Court for over three years as of 01/02/23.

B) Recruitment by Transfer

A person to be appointed to the category of Civil Judge under this category:

  • Educational Qualification - You must hold a Degree in Law awarded by any University established by Law in India or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act, or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission and which is valid for enrollment as an Advocate as per the Rules of the Bar Council of India.
  • Civil Judge Age Limit - You should not have completed forty-eight years of age as of the 1st day of July of the year in which the Notification for selection to the post is made.
  • Other Criteria - A person in this category must maintain good character and conduct throughout the service.

Himachal Pradesh Judiciary Exam Eligibility 2023

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • You must be a graduate of Law of a recognized University or Institution recognized by the Government.
  • A Superintendent, a Ministerial Officer in the High Court, any Civil or Criminal Court sub-ordinate to the High Court, or an Assistant Law Officer or Translator of the Law Department of Government are also eligible.
  • Both temporary and permanent government servants are eligible for the examination, provided they fulfil the age criteria and can produce a "No Objection Certificate" from the appointing authority.
  • Suppose you are a graduate of Law at a University recognized by the State Government. In that case, you must have approved service in the High Court or any Civil or Criminal Court sub-ordinate to the High Court or in the Law department of not less than seven years.

Age Limit for OPSC Recruitment for Civil Judge

  • You must not be below 23 (twenty-three) years of age and not above 35 (Thirty-five) years of age as of the 1st day of the month of August 2022.
  • You must not have been born earlier than the 2nd of August 1987 and not later than the 1st of August 1999.
  • The maximum age limit for departmental candidates with service experience of 07 years is not more than 39 (thirty-nine) years as of the 1st day of August 2022.
  • Those belonging to the Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, women, SEBC, Ex-servicemen and SSC officers of the defence service category are given an age relaxation of five years.
  • The upper age limit for persons with benchmark disabilities is relaxed by ten years.

Note - The birth date in the high school or equivalent certificate will be accepted.

Other Necessary Qualifications

  • You must be an Indian Citizen.
  • You must be able to read, speak, and write Odia fluently.
  • You must possess a good character and be devoid of organic defects and physical infirmity. 
  • You must pass an examination of the Odia language, equivalent to the standard of Middle English school, on the last date of submitting the application form online.
  • If, at any time, you have been debarred for a certain period/chance by the Odisha Public Service Commission or by U.P.S.C. from appearing at any examination/viva voce test, you will not be eligible for such recruitment for that specified period/chance.
  • Only those who possess the requisite qualifications, are within the prescribed age limit and fulfil other eligibility conditions, etc., will be considered eligible by the closing date for the online application form submission.
  • Suppose you claimed a name change after passing the H.S.C. examination. In that case, you must furnish a copy of the publication of the changed name in the local leading daily newspaper and a copy of notification in the Gazette in support of your change of name.
  • You must be selected for appointment by the Medical Board. If you do not satisfy the requirement after a medical examination, you shall not be appointed

Tamil Nadu Judiciary Exam Eligibility 2023

The common eligibility criteria are as follow for Telangana Judiciary are as follows:

  • Nationality - You must be a citizen of India.
  • Language - You must have proficiency in Tamil to read, write, and speak.

For Practicing Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors:

  • Age Limit for Judge Exam- For General Category, the minimum age is 25 years, and the maximum period is 35 years. For other categories, the minimum age is 25 years, and the maximum is 40 years. 
  • Educational Qualification - You must possess a Degree in Law from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act, or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification and enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu or the Bar Council of any other State in India. 

For Fresh Law Graduates(For all Categories):

  • PCS J Age Limit: The minimum age is 22 years, while the maximum is 27 years.
  • Educational Qualification - Must be a fresh Law Graduate with a Law degree from a recognized University.

Gujarat Judiciary Exam Eligibility 2023

Look at the Gujarat Judiciary exam eligibility criteria and apply for a civil Judge post before the last date below:

  • Nationality - You must be a citizen of India. Also, it would be best to have a permanent domicile in Gujarat to take the reservation benefits.
  • PCS J Age Limit - The maximum age limit to apply for the exam is 35 years. However, in any case, the Upper Age Limit for such Candidate under any Category shall not exceed 40 years.
  • Age Relaxation - If you belong to the reserved category, you will be offered three years of relaxation at the upper age as per the rule. The age relaxation will be five years for the employees working in the courts.
  • Experience - You must be practising as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and/or Criminal  Jurisdiction on the last date fixed for submission of the Online Application.
