  • The Bihar Judicial Services Exam will be conducted in three phases: the Preliminary, Mains, and the Interview Process.

Bihar Judiciary Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

As per the notification, candidates who are not a citizen of India are not eligible to apply for the 31st Bihar Judicial Services Recruitment 2020.

Bihar Judiciary Eligibility Criteria: Pre and Mains Examination

  • For the Preliminary Examination, the minimum qualifying marks will be 45% for the general category candidates and 40% for the reserved category candidates.
  • For the Mains Examination, the qualifying marks for the reserved category candidates including women and partially disabled candidates will be 5% less for each principal subject from general category candidates.

  • Only the permanent address given in the application will be used for reservation purposes. 
  • It will be mandatory for SC and ST candidates to submit their Caste certificate and Permanent residence / Domicile certificate.
  • For the backward caste and most backward caste candidates, it will be mandatory to submit their Caste certificate, Domicile certificate, and Non-creamy layer certificate
  • In the case of backward class and extremely backward class, Non-creamy layer certificate, caste certificate, and permanent residence certificate should be issued by the zonal officer notified by the state government of his permanent domicile zone.
  • The caste / Non-creamy layer certificate of married women claiming reservation should be issued from the name and permanent address of their father and not in the name of their husband. 
  • Reservation will not be applicable if all the certificates related to the above reservation are not presented originally at the time of the interview.
  • For candidates having a disability, it is necessary to attach a copy of the Disability Certificate issued in the prescribed form by the competent authority, otherwise, the benefit of reservation is not applicable on the basis of disability.
  • The reservation category cannot be modified/changed between the ongoing process of appointment.
