To apply for 31st Bihar Judicial Services Recruitment 2020, you need to fulfill the below age requirements:

  • Candidates above 35 years of age as of 1.08.2018 are not qualified to apply for the examination.
  • Candidates below 22 years of age as of 1.08.2019 are not qualified to apply for the examination.

Bihar Judiciary Educational Qualification 2020-21

To apply for 221 Bihar Judiciary Vacancy, the required eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • You must be a holder of a degree in Law from a University/Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India. 
  • In respect of degrees issued by various colleges/institutes/universities for educational qualification, you will be required to give a certificate signed by the head of the college / Principal of the college/institute, or the competent authority of the university, that the said college/institute/university in the prevalent teaching session Is accredited with the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. 
  • In the absence of, above said certificate the application form will be rejected.
  • You must have good character in order to be eligible for the Civil Judge post.

Bihar Judiciary Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

As per the notification, you must be a citizen of India else you are not eligible to apply for the 31st Bihar Judicial Services Recruitment 2020.

Bihar Judiciary Qualifying Marks

As per the Bihar Judiciary Eligibility Criteria, you need to score the minimum marks in the qualifying examination as mentioned below. 

  • For the Preliminary Examination, the minimum qualifying marks will be 45% for the general category candidates and 40% for the reserved category candidates.
  • For the Mains Examination, the qualifying marks for the reserved category including women and partially disabled will be 5% less for each principal subject from general category candidates.

Bihar Judiciary Eligibility Criteria: Reservation

  • You will not get the benefit of reservation if you do not claim reservation in the column indicated on the online application form.
  • On the basis of caste, the benefit of reservation will be given only to those whose permanent residence is in the state of Bihar i.e. those who are native of Bihar.
  • Only the permanent address given in the application will be used for reservation purposes. 
  • It will be mandatory for SC and ST category to submit a Caste Certificate and Permanent residence / Domicile certificate.
  • For the backward caste and most backward caste, it is mandatory to submit the Caste certificate, Domicile certificate, and Non-creamy layer certificate
  • In the case of backward class and extremely backward class, Non-creamy layer certificate, caste certificate, and permanent residence certificate should be issued by the zonal officer notified by the state government of his permanent domicile zone.
  • The caste / Non-creamy layer certificate of married women claiming reservation should be issued from the name and permanent address of their father and not in the name of their husband. 
  • Reservation will not be applicable if all the certificates related to the above reservation are not presented originally at the time of the interview.
  • For the disabled, it is necessary to attach a copy of the Disability Certificate issued in the prescribed form by the competent authority, otherwise, the benefit of reservation is not applicable on the basis of disability.
  • The reservation category cannot be modified/changed between the ongoing process of appointment.
