NATA Notification 2021
National Aptitude Test in Architecture is conducted twice a year in April and May in the online mode. However, this year the phase 2 exam is conducted tentatively in the month of July 2021 due to the delayed admission process in 2020. You can attend one or both the exams as per your interest.
- Before proceeding with the application form, you must meet the NATA Eligibility Criteria. Otherwise, you are not eligible to apply for the exam.
- You must have passed class 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or 10+3 diploma with mathematics to apply for the exam.
- Your age should be minimum of 17 years as of 31 July 2021, to fill the application form.

NATA Eligibility 2021
You must be aware that the candidature is subject to cancellation if you do not satisfy the eligibility for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture. Know the eligibility criteria details from the following points-
- 10+2 with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
- 10+3 Diploma graduates/appearing with Mathematics as a compulsory subject
- You will be provided with 5% relaxation in total Aggregate in 10+2 Level/10+3 Diploma as well as PCM if you belong to SC, ST, OBC-NCL Category, or PWD(Person with Disability)
- International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject of examination.
- There are not any lateral admission criteria for admission in any stage/year of the B.Arch course.
- The qualifying marks for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture Admissions are sectional. However, a total of 110 marks out of 300 is considered fair enough for the admission
NATA Application Form 2021
The Online filling up of the Application is of interactive nature. A cursor Tip message will be shown as you are filling in the details. A "Help" Icon is placed next right to the fields to provide guidance.
- While submitting the details, the system prompts to enter the Email Id which will be used as User Id later
- The Security Question and Answer will be captured by the system at this stage. you must remember this Question Answer pair for further Password Retrieval if the password is forgotten by you.

- Step 2-Find the direct link to register for the exam
- Step 3-Enter your personal details such as name, email ID, phone number, date of birth, etc. to create the login credentials

- Step 5-Note down the 8-digit application number generated
- Step 6-After that fill the form with personal, academic and communication details along with your preference of 3 exam centers in the form

NATA Exam Pattern 2021
Knowing the NATA Exam Pattern 2021 will help you better prepare for the exam. Here is the detailed exam pattern of the NATA 2021 exam.
- Mode: The exam will be conducted through online mode.
- Sections: It will be comprised of two sections. Part A comprises MCQ to be answered online and Part B is a paper-based drawing test.
- Maximum Marks: A total of 200 marks questions will be asked in the exam. 120 marks for Part-A and 90 marks for Part-B.
- Duration: The complete exam will be of 3 hours. 90 minutes for Part-A and 90 minutes for Part-B.
- Language: All instructions will be given in the English language only.
- Marking Scheme: 2 marks will be allotted for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: No negative marking in the exam.
- Qualifying Marks: Secure a minimum of 25% marks in the MCQ portion (30 out of 120) & 25% marks in the drawing portion (20 out of 80).

NATA Syllabus for General Aptitude
Objects or texture related to architecture and the built environment. Interpretation of pictorial compositions, Visualizing three-dimensional objects from a two-dimensional drawing. Visualizing different sides of 3D objects. Analytical reasoning, mental ability (visual, numerical, and verbal), General awareness of national/ international architects, and famous architectural creations.
Syllabus for Drawing Test
- Understanding scale and proportion of objects, geometric composition, shape, building forms and elements, aesthetics, color texture, harmony and contrast, conceptualization and visualization through structuring objects in memory,
- Drawing of patterns – both geometrical and abstract, form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces, and volumes.
- Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shape and forms, generating a plan, elevation, and 3D views of objects. Perspective drawing, Sketching of urbanscape, and landscape common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory.

NATA Answer Key 2021
The answer key is an official document released by the exam conducting authority that helps candidates to check their responses. This way, candidates can estimate their scores and know if they are eligible for further stages. Generally, the NATA Answer Key is released after the exam.

NATA Result 2021: Score Card and Merit List
NATA Result 2021 will be announced separately for the first and second phases since they are conducted separately. For Phase 1, the declaration of the result is notified soon on the official website.
The results will be available as follows:
- Marks obtained in each part i.e. Part A and Part B
- Marks obtained out of 200
- Qualifying status i.e. Pass or Fail
Qualifying Marks for NATA 2021:
A minimum of 25% must be secured in the MCQ portion (30 out of 120). A minimum of 25% must be secured in a Drawing portion (20 out of 80). Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council. Any candidate who fails to satisfy the above mentioned qualifying criteria shall not be considered qualified for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture even if the scores are high.

NATA Counselling 2021
There is no specific or centralized counseling for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture. However, CoA might announce a centralized procedure this year. NATA Counselling will be notified after the announcement of the exam date.
- Universities/colleges and states that offer B.Arch programs will be conducting counseling separately.
- The authorities begin the counseling right after the declaration for NATA Result.
- Candidates do not just have to pick a desired college or university but they must satisfy the eligibility criteria for the same.

Differences Between NATA and JEE Main B.Arch Paper
It is a common question that what is the difference between the National Aptitude Test in Architecture and the JEE Main B.Arch paper. Well, the major difference is that NATA is codnucted by the Council of Architecture while JEE Main B.Arch is codnucted by the National Testing Agency. These are National level entrance exam conducted to offer admission into Engineering and B.Arch programs.
