IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is the authorized entrance exam held for admissions in the Five-Year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) in Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The admissions are offered into IPM offered at IIM Indore. The exam is conducted once every year.

  • IPMAT Application Form is available from March 14, 2019. The last date to apply for IPMAT is April 14, 2019.
  • The age limit for general category is 20 years and 22 years for SC/ST category.
  • Aspirants must have passed their standard 10th/SSC and Standard 12th/HSC or equivalent examinations with a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate marks to be eligible for IPMAT 2019.
  • The type of questions asked will be Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice and Short Answer Questions) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • Candidates who clear the IPMAT 2019 cutoff will be called for the further stages, that are writing ability test and personal interview followed by the final admission process.

IPMAT Eligibility Criteria 2019

IPMAT Eligibility Criteria is the deciding factor for any candidate to appear in the exam. IPMAT Eligibility includes category-wise academic and age limit criteria.

The eligibility criterion for IPMAT 2019 is given below:

  • For General and NC-OBC Category: Minimum 60 % aggregate required in Standard 10th/SSC and Standard 12th/HSC or equivalent examinations in 2007, 2008 & appearing in 2019.
  • For SC/ST and PWD (DA) Category: Minimum 55 % aggregate required in Standard 10th/SSC and Standard 12th/HSC or equivalent examinations in 2007, 2008 & appearing in 2019.
  • Age Limit: For general category candidates, the maximum age limit is 20 years as on August 01, 2019 and for SC/ST category candidates the age should not exceed 25 years of age as on August 01, 2019.

IPMAT Online Application Link is now active and will remain active until April 14, 2019. Candidates have to apply online for the exam.

How to apply for IPMAT 2019?

  • Visit the official website for IIM https://www.iimidr.ac.in/.
  • Click on the Registration link for IPMAT.
  • Generate a username and password.
  • The candidates will receive the user ID and password through their registered Email and SMS.
  • Log in through using these credentials.
  • Enter the required details in the form correctly.
  • The last step is to pay the application fee through online mode only.
  • After the payment is updated, submit the completed form.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to submit valid and attested certificates supporting their reservation category.

IPMAT Exam Pattern

As per the IPMAT Exam Pattern 2019, the exam is conducted in online mode. IPMAT exam is scheduled for the month of May 2019. Given below is the detailed exam pattern for IPMAT 2019:

  • The no. of questions is 100.
  • The exam pattern is divided into two sections: Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice and Short Answer Questions) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • Duration for the exam is 2 hours.
  • The marking for every correct question is +4.
  • The marking for every incorrect question is -1. Although there is no negative marking I the Short answer questions.

IPMAT Result 2019

  • IPMAT Result 2019 will be declared in third week of May 2019 (tentative).
  • IPMAT Result 2019 will be displayed on their official website.
  • The results will be shown overall as well as section-wise.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called upon for further rounds of written ability test and personal interview.

Steps to check IPMAT 2019 result

  • Go to the official website of IIM Indore
  • Go to the IPMAT section.
  • Click on the “Results” button.
  • Enter your IPMAT 2019 application form number.
  • Enter in the registered email ID or Date of Birth in DD/MM/YY format.
  • Now enter the Security Code/Password.
  • Click on 'Get Status' tab.
  • IPMAT 2019 result will be displayed. 

IPMAT Cut off

The cutoff signifies the minimum marks to be obtained by candidates to be able to get shortlisted for the further rounds of selection. The shortlisted students who qualify the cutoff of IPMAT 2019 will be called for Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. IPMAT 2019 Selection Process

The IPMAT 2019 selection process is a two-step process. The first step is the IPM Aptitude Test. On the basis of the score secured in this step, candidates are shortlisted for the second stage which involves a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Stage two of the IPMAT 2019 selection procedure will take place in the first week of June. After this, a final merit list of IPMAT will be announced. 

The Weightage could be:

  • Aptitude test score - 50%
  • Personal interview - 35%
  • Written ability test – 15%

Reservation percentage for categories like SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD will be considered at the time of admission.

IPMAT 2019 Counselling Centres

IPMAT Counselling is conducted across 8 cities in India. Candidates have to carry the following documents for the counselling centers mentioned in the table below.

  • Original copy & photocopy of IMPAT 2019 Rank Card
  • IMPAT Hall Ticket 2019 original and a photocopy
  • Marks sheet of 10th standard along with at least two xerox copy
  • Original Counselling Letter along with xerox copy
  • Medical Certificate mentioned in IMPAT 2019 Application Form
  • In case of OBC, SC and ST Candidates, Caste Certificate signed by the Competent Authority
