What is the IPMAT Indore 2027 Eligibility Criteria ?

The eligibility criteria for IPMAT 2027 Indore are designed to select candidates with the potential and aptitude for management studies. 

 IPMAT Indore 2027 Eligibility for Domestic Applicants 

• Age: Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2006 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PWS category will be given, i.e. born on or after August 01, 2001) 

• Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2024, 2025 or appearing in 2027.

• The candidate should have passed Standard X/SSC or Equivalent

Note: If you are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent, you can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned above. 

The IPMAT Indore scores are accepted by 9 IPM and BBA colleges, including IIM Indore.

Each college's eligibility criteria should be checked individually to ensure a hassle-free admission process. 

IPMAT Indore 2027 Eligibility for International Applicants 

International aspirants can also apply for admission to the IPMAT at IIM Indore through the SAT. 

You are eligible to apply for the IIM Indore IPM 2027 Exam if you satisfy the following criteria: 

• Education Qualification: You should have passed Standard XII/ HSC or an equivalent examination in 2024, 2025 or be appearing in 2027. 

• Age: You must have been born on or after August 01, 2006, to apply for the entrance to IIM Indore. 

• Minimum Percentage of Marks: You should have passed standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.

The IPMAT Indore 2027 exam pattern is structured to evaluate your quantitative aptitude and verbal skills.

• There will be three sections in the Aptitude Test, namely Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA), and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ). 

• Each question will carry four marks per the IPMAT Indore 2027 marking scheme.

• There will be 1 negative mark for each wrong answer, except in the Quantitative Ability (SA) Section (these questions will not carry any negative marking). 

• IIM Indore never reveals the number of questions in the exam beforehand. Although the number of questions was never disclosed beforehand, the IPMAT Indore exam format has remained the same for the past three years.

IPMAT Indore 2027 Selection Process

The selection process for IPMAT Indore can be challenging, ensuring only the most suitable candidates advance.

The Integrated Program in Management (IPM) selection process at IIM Indore involves several stages designed to assess a wide range of skills among the applicants.

Here's a breakdown of the selection procedure:

The selection procedure for IPMAT 2027 comprises five phases, featuring an Aptitude Test (AT) and a Personal Interview (PI). Candidates must participate in both phases to remain eligible for admission. 

Stage 1: Application Process

• The candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria to submit the IPMAT Indore 2027 application form online.

• Application Fee (Non-Refundable): ₹4,130 for General/OBC candidates & ₹2,065 for SC/ST/PwD candidates

• Candidates belonging to the NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories must upload a valid caste/category certificate.

• Similarly, EWS candidates must submit proof of their EWS eligibility.

Stage 2: Aptitude Test (AT)

• The second stage is the aptitude test, which will take place on 4th May 2027.

• The exams will be conducted across 37 cities (subject to changes by IIM Indore).

Exam Structure

The Aptitude Test (AT) has three sections:

• Quantitative Ability (MCQ): 30 questions, 120 marks, 40 minutes.

• Quantitative Ability (SA): 15 questions, 60 marks, 40 minutes.

• Verbal Ability (MCQ + TITA): 45 questions, 180 marks, 40 minutes.

Marking Scheme:

• +4 for each correct answer

• -1 for incorrect answers ( except QA-SA, which has no negative marking )

Stage 3: Shortlisting for PI

• To qualify, candidates must meet sectional cutoffs (determined by the Admissions Committee).

• No individual rejection letters will be sent.

Stage 4: Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates appearing for the PI are shortlisted based on their Aptitude Test Score (ATS),

Note: The maximum and minimum scores are the highest and lowest among eligible candidates, respectively, within each section.

Stage 5: Final Selection

Note 1: Provisional admission offering will follow the GOI (Government of India) reservation norms.

The IIM Indore IPMAT cut-off is released based on the composite scores.

IPMAT Indore 2027 Reservation Policy & Number of Seats 

The Government of India has imposed a fixed percentage for seat reservations in different categories.

The total number of seats offered at IIM Indore in 2027 is 150. 

As per the notification, the following categories will fall under the PwD category: 

• Blindness and low vision (or) 

• Deaf and hard of hearing (or) 

• Locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy (or) 

• Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and mental illness (or) 

• Other 'specified disabilities' mentioned in 'The Schedule' of the RPwD Act 2016 

Note: The Central Government list on the last IPMAT registration date will apply for reservations. Candidates must submit valid documents issued by a competent authority to confirm eligibility under the NC-OBC, SC, ST, EWS, or PwD categories. No changes will be allowed after registration. While IIM Indore aims to admit candidates in accordance with reservation laws, they must meet the eligibility and performance criteria for selection.

All About IPMAT Indore Financial Assistance 2027

IIM Indore provides financial assistance through the NBFA (Need-Based Financial Assistance) Scheme. 

• The main aim of this scheme is to ensure that no aspirant is deprived of education due to financial reasons.  

• To be eligible to apply for the NBFA, your annual family income should be below ₹ 12,00,000

• If you are eligible to apply for the IIM Indore NBFA, you must fill out the application form available in the PGP/IPM office. 

• Your financial need will be assessed based on the details provided in the application form, and you will then be called to meet in person with the NBFA committee. 

• If you have applied through the EWS quota but have secured the seat through the IPMAT Indore reservation policy, you can also apply for NBFA. 

The IPMAT Indore 2027 admit card is expected to be released in mid-April 2027 on iimidr.ac.in. IIM Indore does not send admit cards by post — you must download it yourself.
