What is IPMAT Indore Exam 2027?

IPMAT Indore 2027 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IIM Indore for admission to its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).

It offers a dual degree combining management foundations and an MBA. With high competition and limited seats, IPM Indore is one of India’s toughest management entrances after Class 12. The exam is expected in May 2027.

IPMAT Indore 2027 Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for IPMAT 2027 Indore are designed to select candidates with the potential and aptitude for management studies.

IPM Indore 2027 Eligibility for Domestic Applicants

• Age: The candidate must have been born on or after August 1, 2006 (there will be a five-year relaxation for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWS categories, that is, those born on or after August 1, 2001)
• For the Qualifying Exam, the candidate must have passed the Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2024, 2025 or be taking it in 2027.
• The candidate must have obtained their Standard X/SSC or equivalent qualification.

Note that if you are on course to obtain your Standard XII/HSC or equivalent qualification you may apply, provided that you meet the eligibility criteria listed above.

Stage 2: Aptitude Test (AT)

• The second stage is the aptitude test, which will take place on 4th May 2027.
• The exams will be conducted across 37 cities (subject to changes by IIM Indore).

Exam Structure

The Aptitude Test (AT) has three sections:

• Quantitative Ability (MCQ): 30 questions, 120 marks, 40 minutes.
• Quantitative Ability (SA): 15 questions, 60 marks, 40 minutes.
• Verbal Ability (MCQ + TITA): 45 questions, 180 marks, 40 minutes.

The Government of India has imposed a fixed percentage for seat reservations in different categories.

IIM Indore provides financial assistance through the NBFA (Need-Based Financial Assistance) Scheme.

• The main aim of this scheme is to ensure that no aspirant is deprived of education due to financial reasons.
• To be eligible to apply for the NBFA, your annual family income should be below ₹ 12,00,000
• If you are eligible to apply for the IIM Indore NBFA, you must fill out the application form available in the PGP/IPM office.
• Your financial need will be assessed based on the details provided in the application form, and you will then be called to meet in person with the NBFA committee.
• If you have applied through the EWS quota but have secured the seat through the IPM Indore reservation policy, you can also apply for NBFA.
