The Indian Institute of Management has scheduled the IPMAT for June 14, 2021. IPMAT is an online mode of exam for which the pattern is decided by the IIM.

Last year, after the online aptitude test, qualifiers were shortlisted directly to a video-based assessment. However, the general selection process includes Aptitude Test, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test.

IPMAT Exam Pattern 2021

There are a total of three sections i.e., Quantitative Ability (MCQ), Quantitative Ability (SA), and Verbal Ability in the aptitude test.

Number of Sections in IPMAT 2021

Out of three sections in the exam, two sections are based on Quantitative Aptitude and the other is based on Verbal Ability.

  • As per the IPMAT Syllabus 2021, the quantitative Sections include questions from topics such as Average, Profit, and Loss, Percentage, Number Series, Data Interpretation (DI), Logical Reasoning.
  • The Verbal Ability section includes questions from Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Vocabulary, and more.

IPMAT Time Duration 2021

As per the IPMAT exam Pattern 2021 Guidelines, the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There is a sectional time limit for each section.

  • To attempt the Quantitative Section, 60 Minutes is provided and for the Verbal Ability Section, 30 minutes is provided.
  • You are required to answer the sections in a pre-specified order and the pre-specified order is the same for all exam appearing candidates.

IPMAT Marking Scheme 2021

  • As per the IPMAT Paper Pattern, for every correct answer, you will be rewarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer in the MCQ questions.
  • There will be no negative marking for the descriptive type questions in the Quantitative section.
