The only candidates who will satisfy the eligibility criteria can apply for the IPMAT 2021. Before filling the application form, candidates must make sure that they meet the IPMAT 2021 eligibility criteria. 

  • The candidates' age should be above 20 years in order to be eligible for the entrance exam.
  • A candidate should have passed standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2019, 2020, or appearing in 2021 exam can also apply for the exam.

IPMAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The IIM Indore will release the eligibility criteria that include various parameters like age limit, qualification, and minimum percentage of marks required to apply for the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test. IPMAT Age Limit

Candidate belonging to general category should have been born on or after August 01, 2001, to fill the online form. 5 years of age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, which means candidates born on or after August 01, 1995, can apply for the exam.

The candidates maximum age should be more than 20 years as on July 31, 2021.

IPMAT Educational Qualification 

  • Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 are eligible for the IPMAT 2021.
  • Candidates appearing for 2021 class 12 exams or waiting for results can also apply for the exam.

Minimum Percentage of Marks

  • Candidate belonging to the General category must have scored minimum 60% of marks in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
  • The candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PwD category must have 55 % minimum percentage in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.

Important Points to Remember for IPMAT Eligibility 2021

  • Candidates who complete XII/ HSC standard or equivalent by the end of June 30, 2021, can also apply. However, the IPMAT eligibility criteria as mentioned above must be fulfilled.
  • If such candidates are selected, they will be offered admission to the program provisionally. But, at the time of registration for the program, such candidates must have to produce standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations mark sheet (securing minimum marks, as indicated above) along with school-leaving certificate/migration certificate.
  • Candidates failing to submit required documents for provisional admission offer will be cancelled.
  • The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard will be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation.
  • In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grades points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to the percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board or Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.
  • Applicants pursuing their X and/or XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.
  • IIM Indore reserves the right to decide the eligibility conditions in terms of equivalence, percentage marks, and the recognition of the qualifying examination, intake, etc.
  • Candidates belonging to the NC/OBC category should not be more than 20 years of age as on July 31, 2021, while candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD/SD should not exceed 22 years of age as on July 31, 2021.

IPMAT Exam Pattern 2021

After knowing the IPMAT Eligibility 2021, fill the application form carefully without committing any errors. Begin your preparation well in advance by going through the IPMAT Exam Pattern and detailed syllabus.

  • The exam consists of three sections for a total of 400 marks
  • The total time duration for completion of the exam is 2 hours.
  • For each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded and for each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
