IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2023: Quantitative Ability (SA)
The QA (Short Answer) section was unique to IPMAT Indore. Students didn't get answer choices; they had to input the final numeric answer in a text box.
Generally, it was easy to identify 5-6 simple questions in this section.
However, as per students' feedback, there were hardly any straightforward questions.
The questions were longer and involved applying multiple concepts within a single question.
This section was considered Moderate to Advanced in overall difficulty.
A decent attempt was approximately 9 questions, and with an accuracy of 85-90%, a respectable score was around 32 marks.
The cut-off was approximately 20 marks, which could be achieved by correctly answering 5 questions.
IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2023: Quantitative Ability (MCQ)
The QA (MCQ) section was the second part of IPMAT Indore and once more tested Maths, but with MCQ answer choices.
This section was easier than the first one. Most students were able to solve the DI/LR set that was part of this section and were able to get 5 easy questions.
Other than that, there were 4-5 questions that were concept- or formula-based direct ones.
Other questions were concept-based and had multiple concepts being applied within a question. The Matrices and Determinants question was calculative but straightforward.
In general, this section was deemed to be of Moderate difficulty level.
A good effort was about 19 questions, and with an accuracy of 85-90%, a good result was about 60 marks.
The cut-off was about 46 marks, which could be reached by answering 12-13 questions correctly and hardly any wrong.
IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2023: Verbal Ability (VA)
The Verbal Ability section was far more comfortable than anticipated.
Students overall found RC passages a breeze to read and were able to try 9-10 out of 12 questions on both RCs.
Two to three questions based on idioms and phrases took a little effort from those who hadn't seen them before.
Other questions were less problematic, and most students could attempt nearly all the questions.
Students found parajumble questions to be especially easy as just four short sentences had to be rearranged into a paragraph.
Thus, this section was rated Easy to Moderate.
A good attempt would be 40 questions, and with an accuracy of 85-90%, one could obtain approximately 140 marks.
The cut-off expected would be roughly 124 marks, which could be done by attempting 33-34 questions and getting a few wrong.
As per the IPMAT paper analysis, the exam's overall difficulty level was moderate, similar to the previous year.

There were a total of 15 questions to be attempted in 40 minutes.
The majority of the questions are achievable and manageable.
There were 1 question each based on determinants, functions, profit & loss, trigonometry, binomial, set theory, and average.
There were 2 questions on each of arithmetic progression and geometry progression.
IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2022: Quantitative Ability (MCQ)
Quantitative ability (MCQ) part was quite challenging for students with a commerce background, as questions were mostly out of the box.
Students with PCM and PCB backgrounds did feel the questions were moderately challenging.
There were 1 question each from height & distance, time, speed & distance, probability, functions, and average.
There were 2-3 questions each from set theory, number system, functions, arithmetic progression, and geometry progression
There were algebra and set theory questions, and most of them were slightly complicated.
There was 1 DI question followed by 5 questions.
Also, there were 3-4 questions on permutation and combination topics.
IPMAT Indore Exam Analysis 2022: Verbal Ability (VA)
Most students mentioned that 5-6 questions came after 2 RC passages.
The passages were long, yet they were manageable.
There were 708 fill-the-blanks questions that were a bit tough.
There were 2-3 questions regarding idioms and phrases which were simple to answer.
Grammar questions were manageable and simple.
There were 4-5 questions on each of para jumbles, para completion, and spotting the error, and all of them were of easy to moderate difficulty levels.
