West Bengal Civil Judge Salary Structure 2020

All the selected candidates in the WB Judicial Exam will be appointed as civil judges and their salary will be from 27,700 to 44,700 every month. Apart from the basic salary, they will also get many benefits and allowances such as House Rent Allowance (HRA), travel allowance, dearness allowance, travel allowance, and others. In the initial joining, the basic pay will be Rs. 27,700.

  • After that, the increment will be Rs. 770 per year until the basic salary reaches Rs. 33,900. Once it reaches 33,900, the increment will be Rs 920 per year until the salary reaches Rs. 40,450.
  • Until he reaches Rs. 44,700, he will get 1080 Rs every year. Once it reaches a maximum of the limit of Rs. 44,700, it will get stagnant.
  • The total amount of salary in the initial level is around 58,839 including 27,700 (Basic), 29,639(dearness allowance) + 1500 (medical allowance).

Education

  • Except for candidates whose language is Nepali, other needs to be able to write, read, and speak Bengali
  • A law degree from any institution and university, which is well recognized by the Central Government or the State Government
  • Enrollment in any union state or territory in India as an advocate on the examination date advertisement

Age Limit

  • Candidates need to be within the age of 23 to 35 years to get admission to the exam. if the candidate is below 23 years and aged more than 35 years, then they can not sit on the exam
  • If the candidate is belonging from Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST), then, the upper age limit is relaxable 5 years, which means they can attend the exam till 40 years of age. If the candidate is from BC (Non-Creamy Layer), then the maximum limit is increased to 38 years of age. Candidates who have physical disabilities more than 40% can take admission in this exam until the age of 45 years. Candidates who have been associated with Government service for more than 2 years can participate in the exam admission until the age of 37 years.

Candidates who want to sit the exam can only get in through the online admission. The online admission process is open from 7th July to 2nd August. Many candidates face complications while filling the application even after multiple attempts. Registration/Filling the Application Form

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of WBPSC recruitment for WB Civil Services pscwbapplication.in.
  • There is an application section available, where you can click on the post that you want to fill up.
  • Upon clicking, candidates will be directed to a separate page where you will find an option as ‘enroll yourself’, click on it.
  • You will get the enrollment form where you will need to fill all the details such as an address, name, contact details, and many more.
  • After the fill-up is complete, click on the ‘sing up’ option to receive the OTP.
  • Candidates will receive an OTP in the given mobile number or email address. They are required to use the OTP to verify the enrollment number. If the process is successful, then candidates will get the enrollment number displayed on their screen.
  • After getting the enrollment number, candidates will need to log in again using it and the password.
  • Fill the form of application and provide details like personal information, eligibility, qualification, and others.
  • After filling up the form, applicants are required to provide a scanned signature and photo of them on the website using the upload signature and upload image option
  • When the form fillup is complete, candidates need to pay the application fee based on category

  • Upload the scanned signature of the candidate by clicking on the option ‘upload signature’
  • The signature needs to be signed with black ink on a white sheet, the dimension of the signature image needs to be 2.5 x 7.5 cm
  • Scanned image of a passport photograph of the candidate with a white background, which needs to be within 50kb and measurements of 5 cm x 3.6 cm and the size needs to be in 25kb
  • Certificate of experience (if any) by clicking on the upload file option, all of them need to be the original copy of the candidate
  • Educational documents based on the eligibility criteria by clicking on the upload option
  • Caste certificate (if any)

West Bengal Civil Judge Selection Process 2020

The WBPSC Recruitment 2020 selection process is divided into 3 different processes. The three different stages of exams are the preliminary exam, final examination, personality test.

  • Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam contains a total of 200 multiple choice questions, which candidates will get only 180 minutes to finish.
  • Main Exam: The main exam of the process will include 8 compulsory papers and three optional papers that include 100 marks. Candidates will get three hours of duration to answer all the questions.
  • Viva-Voce or Personal Interview: The last stage of the process in viva voce offers 100 marks. Upon this stage, candidates will be eligible for final selection. In all stages, candidates need to qualify above the set cut off marks. 

West Bengal Judiciary Exam Centers 2020

This year, the West Bengal Judicial Services Exam will be held in Kolkata (Code 1) and Darjeeling (Code 2) in October 2020. Only candidates of Kalimpong District and three Hill Sub-divisions of Darjeeling, viz., Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik, and Kurseong will be allowed to appear at Darjeeling Centre. The Final Written Examination will be held at Kolkata in January 2021 or thereabout. The personality test will be held thereafter in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal.
