The West Bengal Judicial Service Preliminary Examination result is out. WBPSC published it on 14 October 2026 under Notice No. 388 P.S.C./Con., and 493 candidates have qualified for the Final (written) Examination of the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination, 2024 (Advt. No. 9/2024).

• The prelims took place on 27 September 2026. The final answer key were out on 12 October 2026, and the result came two days later.
• The Commission has also released the category-wise cut-off marks with the result.
• The schedule for the Final Examination has not been announced yet, and WBPSC has notified that it will be published on its website shortly.

WBPSC has released the WB Judiciary prelims exam result in a 13-page PDF. It states the name, roll number, category and qualifying standard of every shortlisted candidate. As per the PDF, 493 candidates have provisionally qualified for the Final Written Examination. Their selection still depends on verification of eligibility and suitability.

1. Go to the official WBPSC website, psc.wb.gov.in.
2. Open the Results section.
3. Find the link for the West Bengal Judicial Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 result.
4. Open the PDF.
5. Press Ctrl + F, or use “Find in page” on your phone.
6. Type your roll number or name.
7. See if your details appear in the list.
8. Download the PDF and keep a copy.

Shortlisted candidates are now qualify for the West Bengal Judiciary Final Written Examination . Keep in mind that this selection is provisional. WBPSC will check each candidate’s age, academic qualification, category, PwBD or EWS status and other documents later in the process.

Candidates who have cleared the prelims exam, can start preparing for the Final Written Examination now. Under the current pattern, the written stage has compulsory and optional papers. Each paper is of 100 marks and runs for three hours.

Documents Candidates Should Keep Ready for WBJS Mains

The result notice names these documents for verification:

• Proof of age
• Academic qualification
• Caste or category certificate
• PwBD certificate, if applicable
• EWS certificate, if applicable
• Any other document WBPSC asks for

Important Instructions for WBJS Prelims Shortlisted Candidates

West Bengal Public Service Commission has notified that qualifying for the Final Examination is provisional.

• If a candidate is later found ineligible under the terms of the advertisement, the candidature can be cancelled, even after the appointment letter has been issued.
• Candidates can check  the WBPSC website for new notices and make sure their documents are valid and ready.
• Prelims marks are not added to the final merit list.
• Candidates rank will depend on how they perform in the written papers and the Personality Test.
• Since WBPSC has not yet announced the Final exam dates, use this time well.
