Here are some key highlights of the JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Date notification 2026:

Note: The dates mentioned here are tentative except for the JEE B.Arch exam date 2026

  • The online application process for the JEE main paper 2 session began on February 2, 2026. 
  • All applicants must submit the applications by the last week of March 2026, along with the application fee.
  • The Maths and Aptitude Test for JEE main exam paper 2 will be taken online, while the Drawing Tests (Part 3) will be taken offline on an A4-size sheet.
  • Paper 2 consists of two parts: Paper 2A is conducted for B. Arch programs, while Paper 2B is conducted for B. Planning programs.
  • The exam is conducted in Hindi and English.
  • You must submit only one application form for each session. The exam conducting body will not accept any form if you submit multiple forms for each session.

Age Limit

As per the official notification, there is no age limit to apply for the JEE Main Exam Paper 2 Exam. However, you may be required to satisfy the age criteria set by the institute to which you are willing to take admission.

Nationality

  • Both Indian nationals and international applicants are eligible to apply for the exam.

Qualification

  • You must have passed class 12 or its equivalent in 2024 or 2026 from a recognized board or university. (or)
  • You can apply if you appear for your class 12 exams in 2026. (or)
  • You must have completed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
  • You must have passed any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country that is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). (or)
  • You must have completed a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years. (or)
  • Suppose you have completed class 12 or an equivalent exam outside India. In that case, you must hold a certificate of High School Examination from Cambridge University or an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • You should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination you have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination if you have passed the qualifying exam outside India.

State Of Eligibility

  • You must fill out the state eligibility code during the JEE main paper 2 registration process.
  • The state eligibility code will not depend upon the native or residence place.
  • If you have passed or appeared for Class 12 from NIOS, you should select the State of Eligibility according to the State in which the study Centre is located.
  • For the Indian nationals passing the 12th level from Nepal/Bhutan, the state code of eligibility will be determined based on the permanent address of India provided on the passport.

JEE Main Paper 2 Application Form

The entire JEE Main Paper 2 Application Process will be conducted online. Four stages are involved in the application process: registration, Filling out the application form, uploading documents, and Payment of the fee. 

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main, i.e. www.jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Click the "Apply for JEE Main 2026" option on the homepage.
  • Enter all the basic details, such as name, email address, etc., and click on the "Submit" button.
  • You will receive an acknowledgement on your registered mobile and email. 
  • Re-login to the website and fill in all the required details like academic details, personal details, etc.
  • Click on "Save and proceed" to the next section. 
  • Upload your passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format.
  • Pay the application fee as per your category.
  • Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

JEE Main Paper 2 2026 Exam Pattern

  • As per the new JEE Main Paper 2 Exam pattern, both B. Arch and B. Planning papers are conducted online except for the Drawing section in JEE Main B.Arch.
  • JEE Mains B.Arch paper will be conducted Offline (Drawing Test) and Online (Mathematics and Aptitude). The exam will last 3 Hours (180 Minutes).
  • Mathematics and aptitude sections consist of objective-type questions. The questions in the drawing test are designed to test your drawing and sketching skills.

  • The exam was difficult, as per the previous year's JEE Main Exam Paper 2 analysis. Drawing and aptitude were easy, while the maths section was tough.

An admit card is a mandatory document that can be carried to the exam hall without fail. NTA will release the JEE Main Paper 2 2026 Admit Card for session 3 on the official website. You can download the admit card by using your registration number and password.

  • Visit the official website of JEE.
  • On the Home page, click on the "JEE Mains Admit Card" login tab
  • Enter your application number and password
  • Click on the "Submit button
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen

JEE Main Paper 2 2026 Exam Day Instructions

National Testing Agency has released JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions that everyone must follow on the exam day.

  • Ensure to reach the centre at least half an hour before the reporting time. 
  • Do not carry a Camera, Calculator, Mobile, Purse, Jewellery, Watch, etc., to the exam centre.
  • You must carry the admit card and other important documents to the exam hall without fail.
  • If you belong to the PwD category, you must carry the certificate issued by the competent authority to the exam hall.
  • If you are available for the scribe facility, you and the scribe must wear masks.
  • Try to avoid wearing clothes that have too many pockets.
  • If you are a diabetic student, you can carry sugar tablets, fruits like bananas, apples, oranges, and transparent water bottles.
