JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 Exam Dates & Schedule

National Testing Agency has been conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2023 Session 1 at different centres located in 501 cities throughout the country and 22 cities outside India on 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February 2023. 

JEE Main Paper 2 is to be conducted in two sessions in the months of January and April, respectively. JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam will be held on January 24 and will continue until the 1st of February 2023. JEE Main 2023 registration paper 2 for the second session will conclude on 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 April 2023.

  • Who can apply for the Joint Entrance Examination? Students who have completed their class 12 or equivalent examination from any recognized board can apply for the exam.

24 January 2023 - JEE Mains Admit Card Released 

The candidates can download their Admit Cards from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in w.e.f. 21.01.2023 (Saturday) for the first day of session 1, i.e. 24 January (Tuesday).

19 January 2023 - JEE Mains Exam Date Changed

JEE Main Paper 2 Notification 2023 PDF

National Testing Agency has published the official notification for June and July sessions on its official website.

Here are some key highlights of the JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Date notification 2023:

  • The online application process for the 1st session has started and concludes on 12th January.
  • All applicants have to submit the applications by 12th January 2023, along with the application fee.
  • Maths and Aptitude Tests will be taken online mode, while the Drawing Tests (Part 3) will be taken offline on an A4 size sheet.
  • Paper 2 consists of two parts: Paper 2A is conducted for B. Arch programs, while Paper 2B is conducted for B. Planning programs.
  • The exam is conducted in Hindi and English.
  • You must submit only one application form for each session. The exam conducting body will not accept any form if you submit multiple forms for each session.

 JEE Main Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria 2023

To apply for the JEE Main exam, you must fulfil the eligibility criteria regarding nationality and educational qualification.

Age Limit

As per the official notification, there is no age limit to apply for the JEE Main Paper 2 Exam. However, you may be required to satisfy the age criteria set by the institute in which you are willing to take admission.

Nationality

  • Both Indian nationals and international applicants are eligible to apply for the exam.

Qualification

  • You must have passed class 12 or its equivalent in 2023 or 2022 from a recognized board or university. (or)
  • You can apply if you are appearing for your class 12 exams in 2023. (or)
  • You must have completed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
  • You must have passed any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country that is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). (or)
  • You must have completed a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration. (or)
  • Suppose you have completed class 12 or an equivalent exam outside India. In that case, you must hold a certificate of High School Examination from Cambridge University or an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • You should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination you have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination if you have passed the qualifying exam outside India.

State Of Eligibility

  • You will be required to fill out the state code of eligibility at the time of the registration process.
  • The state code of eligibility will not depend upon the native or residence place.
  • If you have passed or appeared for Class 12 from NIOS, you should select the State of Eligibility according to the State in which the study Centre is located.
  • For the Indian nationals passing the 12th level from Nepal/Bhutan, the state code of eligibility will be determined based on the permanent address of India provided on the passport.

JEE Main Paper 2 Application Form 2023

The entire JEE Main Paper 2 Application Process will be conducted online mode. Four stages are involved in the application process: registration, i.e. Registration, Filling up the application form, uploading of documents, and  Fee Payment. 

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main, i.e. www.jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on the "Apply for JEE Main 2023" option.
  • Enter all the basic details, such as name, email address, etc., and click on the "Submit" button
  • You will receive an acknowledgement on your registered mobile and email. 
  • Re-login to the website and fill in all the required details like academic details, personal details, etc.
  • Click on "save and proceed" to the next section. 
  • Upload your passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format.
  • Pay the application fee as per your category.
  • Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2023

  • As per the new JEE Main Paper 2 Exam pattern, both B. Arch and B. Planning papers are conducted in online mode except for the Drawing section in B.Arch.
  • B. Arch exam will be conducted both Offline (Drawing Test) and Online (Mathematics and Aptitude). The time duration of the exam will be 3 Hours (180 Minutes).
  • Mathematics and aptitude sections consist of objective-type questions. The questions in the drawing test are designed to test your drawing and sketching skills.

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Analysis 

  • As per the previous year's JEE Main Paper 2 Analysis, the exam was moderately difficult. Drawing and aptitude were easy, while the maths section was tough. 
  • There were more questions from the 11th standard syllabus, and Mathematics was difficult.
  • In the General Aptitude section, there were questions such as explaining the 3D images, viewing the structure of a building from the top, and having to match it with the options. 
  • In AAT, most of the questions were asked from the GK of the Chandigarh location. A few questions were from Union Territory and capital. Few from Rock Garden city and Match the following questions from Burj Kalifa.

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions 2023

National Testing Agency has released JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions that everyone must follow on the day of the exam.

  • Ensure to reach the centre at least half an hour before the reporting time. 
  • Do not carry a Camera, Calculator, Mobile, Purse, Jewellery, Watch, etc., to the exam centre.
  • You must carry the admit card and other important documents to the exam hall without fail.
  • If you belong to the PwD category, you must carry the certificate the competent authority issued to the exam hall.
  • If you avail of the scribe facility, then both you and the scribe must wear the mask.
  • Try to avoid wearing clothes having too many pockets.
  • If you are a diabetic student, you can carry sugar tablets, fruits like bananas, apples, oranges, and transparent water bottles.

National Testing Agency will publish the result. The JEE Main Paper 2 Result will be released in the form of a PDF. You can able to download the results only in online mode.

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Analysis 

  • As per the previous year's JEE Main Paper 2 Analysis, the exam was moderately difficult. Drawing and aptitude were easy, while the maths section was tough. 
  • There were more questions from the 11th standard syllabus, and Mathematics was difficult.
  • In the General Aptitude section, there were questions such as explaining the 3D images, viewing the structure of a building from the top, and having to match it with the options. 
  • In AAT, most of the questions were asked from the GK of the Chandigarh location. A few questions were from Union Territory and capital. Few from Rock Garden city and Match the following questions from Burj Kalifa.

JEE Main Paper 2 Admit Card 2023

Admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam hall without fail. NTA will release the JEE Main Paper 2 Admit Card for session 3 on the official website. You can download the admit card by using your registration number and password.

  • Visit the official website of JEE
  • On the Home page, click on the "JEE Mains Admit Card" login tab
  • Enter your application number and password
  • Click on the "Submit button
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen
  • Download the admit card and save it for future reference

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions 2023

National Testing Agency has released JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions that everyone must follow on the day of the exam.

  • Ensure to reach the centre at least half an hour before the reporting time. 
  • Do not carry a Camera, Calculator, Mobile, Purse, Jewellery, Watch, etc., to the exam centre.
  • You must carry the admit card and other important documents to the exam hall without fail.
  • If you belong to the PwD category, you must carry the certificate the competent authority issued to the exam hall.
  • If you avail of the scribe facility, then both you and the scribe must wear the mask.
  • Try to avoid wearing clothes having too many pockets.
  • If you are a diabetic student, you can carry sugar tablets, fruits like bananas, apples, oranges, and transparent water bottles.

JEE Main Paper 2 Result 2023

National Testing Agency will publish the result. The JEE Main Paper 2 Result will be released in the form of a PDF. You can able to download the results only in online mode.

You can follow the steps mentioned below while downloading the result.

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 
  • Click on the "JEE Main Result" button
  • Enter your application number and date of birth
  • After clicking on ‘Submit’, a new screen will appear containing JEE Main 2023 paper 2 result
  • Download the result page and take a print for future reference

The cut-off marks will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks.
