The JEE Main Application Process for Paper 2 (B.Arch) began on December 16, 2020. The registration window will remain open until January 16, 2021. NTA doesn't strictly allow any applicant to correct information added incorrectly in the form after submission.

JEE Main Application Form Dates 2021

You can fill the form for the first session of JEE Main 2021 until 16th January 2021. In case if you miss applying for this session, then no need to worry as the fresh application window will open for further sessions.

Am I Eligible to Fill JEE Main Online Form 2021?

It is important to check for the eligibility of the candidate before registering for the JEE Main, the Registration will be canceled because of the ineligibility of the candidates. Check the table to know the eligibility criteria-

Age Limit For General Category – On or after October 1, 1994
For SC/ST, PWD category- a relaxation of 5 years
Number of Attempts JEE Main candidates can participate in the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years.
The exam will be conducted twice a year, candidates may appear in both sessions. (This year there are 4 sessions)
If a candidate sits for both sessions, it shall be counted as a single attempt.
Educational Qualification Candidates should have at least five subjects in Class XII / Qualifying Examination (QE)
Candidates with only four subjects are not permitted to write JEE Main 2019
Year of Appearance in QE Candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent QE in 2017 or 2018
Those appearing in their Class XII Exam or any equivalent QE in 2019 are eligible

How to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2021?

Follow the steps below to fill JEE Main Paper 2 Application Form. 

Step 1 - JEE Main 2021 Registration

  • Click on the above direct link or visit the official website of JEE Main/ NTA (
  • On the homepage, click on the "Apply for JEE Main 2021" option.
  • Enter all the basic details such as name, email address, mobile phone number, detail of photo identity, parents name, address for communication, date of birth, and gender.
  • Create a new password that will be used for future login. Click on submit
  • You will receive an acknowledgment to your registered mobile and email.

Step 2 - Fill the Application Form

  • Fill in the required details for candidates like- Nationality, Category, Permanent Address, Religion, etc.
  • Enter the Academic Details as- Year of Passing, percentage, etc.
  • Give all the other details like- Self Declaration, Identity Proof, Bank Account Details, etc.
  • Click on Save and proceed to the next section.

Step 3 - Upload Documents

  • After filling the Application Form, you need to upload your passport size photograph and signature as per the specifications.
  • The uploaded scanned images must be clear.
  • The photograph must be either in color or black and white with 80% visibility of face (without mask) including ears against a white background;

Step 4- Payment of Application Fee

  • The Application Fee must be paid by Debit/ Credit Card, Net Banking/ UPI/ PAYTM/ Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallet.
  • You can also opt for offline payment through e-challan from the nearest Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, or ICICI Bank to make the payment.
  • Any other mode of payment like- money order, demand draft, IPO, etc will be rejected.
  • Once the Application Fee will be paid it will not be refunded.

Additional Charges

Credit Card- 1.20% of service tax as applicable.

Booking Slots and Dates for Computer Based Test (CBT)
After paying JEE Main Fee, candidates will be asked to book their slot for Computer Based Test.
Choose the date for Online Exam of Paper 1 and Exam Center
Details of Centre Code, Name, Exam Dates, Capacity, Occupied, and Remaining slots will be displayed.
Confirm the choice of center and date as well as a slot.
After successful payment, you can take a printout of the JEE Main 2021 acknowledgment page.

For Indian Candidates

Photograph in JPEG format 10 KB to 100KB (size), 3.5cm x 4.5cm (dimensions)

For Foreign Candidates

Here, is the list of the documents required for the candidates who are appearing in the Exam from Abroad-

Birth certificate for age proof
Class XII mark sheet/certificate (75% cut-off)
Identity proof of the candidate
Citizenship certificate/Passport of both the parents
Testimonial (if required)

Important Instructions For JEE Main Application Process 2021

  • You can apply for one session or more than one session together but make the payment separately.
  • The application window will be reopened briefly again for February/March/April session. 
  • In case a candidate does not want to appear in the Session for which the fee has already been paid, it will be refunded by NTA
  • Multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate for the same Session(s) will not be accepted at any cost.
  • If you are applying for more than one session, then you can change the Choice of Cities in the correction window, which will be opened in due course under intimation to them through Public Notice for each Session.
  • Only after successful fee payment, the confirmation of the application will be generated. 
  • Ensure to fill in the correct information in the application form.
  • Any change in the information entered by you, will not be allowed. Hence, make sure to fill the forms with the utmost care.


When will the JEE Main 2021 Registration begin?

The JEE Main 2021 Application Process has started from 16th December 2020. Candidates can fill the forms until 16th January 2021. 

What is the eligibility criteria to fill JEE Main Application Form 2021?

Candidates who have passed Class 12th in 2019, 2020, or appearing in 2021 irrespective of their age are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2021.

I have submitted more than one form. Will my JEE Main 2021 Application Form be rejected?

No, both the JEE Main application form will be merged. Based on the application forms the exam authority will release the admit card. However, such candidates will need to send an email to providing both the application number and mentioning the application number, they want to consider.

Is there any option for JEE Main Application Form correction?

In case any candidate has committed mistake while filling the JEE Main Application Form, then it can be edited during JEE Main Form correction. The application correction window will be available from January 19 to 21. 

Can I change the mode of exam from Hindi to English?

JEE Main 2021 exam will be conducted online. Candidates can choose the medium of the question paper on their screen during the examination.
