How to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2020?

Here, in the following points candidates can check the step to fill the JEE Main Application Form-

Step 1 - JEE Main 2020 Registration

  • Go to the official website of JEE Main/ NTA (www.jeemain.nic.in).
  • Click on the "Apply for JEE Main 2020" option.
  • Fill the required credential.

Step 2 - Fill the Application Form

  • Fill the required details for candidates like- Nationality, Category, Permanent Address, Religion, etc.
  • Enter the Academic Details as- Year of Passing, percentage, etc.
  • Give all the other details like- Self Declaration, Identity Proof, Bank Account Details, etc.

Step 3 - Upload Documents

  • Once the candidate fills the Application Form, they have to upload their image and signature as per the guidelines.
  • The images must be uploaded clear.

Step 4- Payment of Application Fee

  • The Application Fee will be paid by Debit/ Credit Card, Net Banking/ UPI/ PAYTM/ Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallet.
  • Candidates also opt for e-challan from the nearest Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, or ICICI Bank to make the payment.
  • Any other mode of payment like- money order, demand draft, IPO, etc will be rejected.
  • Once the Application Fee will be paid cannot be refunded.

Credit Card- 1.20% of service tax as applicable.

Debit Card- 0.75% + taxes for fee up to INR 2000 and 1% + taxes for fee more than INR 2000.

Booking Slots and Dates for Computer Based Test (CBT)
After paying JEE Main Fee, candidates will be asked to book their slot for Computer Based Test.
Choose the date for Online Exam of Paper 1 and Exam Center
Details of Centre Code, Name, Exam Dates, Capacity, Occupied and Remaining slots will be displayed.
Confirm the choice of center and date as well as a slot.
In last, take a printout of JEE Main 2019 acknowledgment page.

Step 5- Print the Acknowledgment Page

  • Only one Application Form will be accepted, multiple forms from one candidate will be rejected.
  • Download and take a print out for future reference.
  • The Acknowledgement of the Application Form will not be sent to the Secretarial of JEE (Main).

Steps to Apply for EWS Reservation in JEE Main 2020

The National Testing Agency has released the 10% Reservation of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates Applying for JEE Main. Follow the steps to fill the Application Form for EWS Reservation-

  • Go to the Official Website (www.jeemain.nic.in).
  • Check for the link of the Application Form.
  • Fill the Application Form, and while filling the form mark yourself as EWS category.
  • Fill all the required credentials with accurate details and save the form.
  • There is no need to upload the documents as it will be required at a time of applying for JEE Advance 2020.

Eligibility to Apply for the JEE Main Application Form 2020

It is important to check for the eligibility of the candidate before Registring for the JEE Main, the Registration will be canceled because of the ineligibility of the candidates. Check the table to know the eligibility criteria-

Age Limit For General Category – On or after October 1, 1994
For SC/ST, PWD category- a relaxation of 5 years
Number of Attempts JEE Main candidates can participate in the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years.
The exam will be conducted twice a year, candidates may appear in both the sessions.
If a candidate sits for both the sessions, it shall be counted as a single attempt.
Educational Qualification Candidates should have at least five subjects in Class XII / Qualifying Examination (QE)
Candidates with only four subjects are not permitted to write JEE Main 2019
Year of Appearance in QE Candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent QE in 2017 or 2018
Those appearing in their Class XII Exam or any equivalent QE in 2019 are eligible
