The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to candidates seeking admission to the different undergraduate programs offered by all central institutions, such as the University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia, etc.
The CUET is a requirement for students who want to enrol in a central, state, private and deemed university's undergraduate program.
Their CUET results will determine whether you get admitted. However, meeting the CUET eligibility requirements is also important.
So, how many subjects are required for CUET?
CUET exam pattern has three main sections. Based on these sections, the student has to choose a minimum of 3 subjects, if required they need to take general test also based on the course and the university they choose.
From the above subjects/languages, the candidate can choose a maximum of 10 subjects from all three Sections. The examination will be conducted on multiple days in three shifts, depending on the number of candidates and subject choices.
Candidates can choose any subject that applies to their desired program. In this section, candidates need to attempt 35-40 questions out of 45-50.
The third section is the general test. This section is for undergraduate programs that require a general test for admission. Candidates need to attempt 50 out of 60 questions in this section.
From the above subjects/languages, the candidate can choose 10 subjects from all three Sections.
It is important to note that the number of questions and the marking scheme of CUET may vary for different universities. Candidates should confirm the specific requirements of the university they are applying to.
