The CUET is a requirement for students who want to enrol in a central, state, private and deemed university's undergraduate program.

CUET exam pattern has three main sections. Based on these sections, the student has to choose a minimum of 3 subjects, if required they need to take general test also based on the course and the university they choose.

From the above subjects/languages, the candidate can choose a maximum of 10 subjects from all three Sections. The examination will be conducted on multiple days in three shifts, depending on the number of candidates and subject choices.

Candidates can choose any subject that applies to their desired program. In this section, candidates need to attempt 35-40 questions out of 45-50.

The third section is the general test. This section is for undergraduate programs that require a general test for admission. Candidates need to attempt 50 out of 60 questions in this section.

From the above subjects/languages, the candidate can choose 10 subjects from all three Sections.

CUET General Test

The General Test is a replica of the most heard Aptitude Test but with a level simpler to the ones you have seen or heard in IPMAT, NPAT or JEE Main B.Arch. 50 Questions to be attempted out of 60. 

Depending on the university and course requirements you select, this exam is optional. 

  • This section includes questions on general knowledge, current events, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning (applying fundamental mathematical concepts taught through Grade 8 in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and measurement), and logical and analytical reasoning.
  • For this portion, 50 of the 60 questions that are displayed must be answered.
  • This section's questions can be attempted in a total of 60 minutes.
  • The language is determined in Section I, and the questions will be in MCQ style in English.
  • You have a maximum possible score of 300 for this section.
