CUET DU Eligibility Criteria 2023

The University of Delhi is one of the premier universities in the country, and this year marks several changes to its admission process. 

From the academic session of 2022, the admissions to undergraduate courses at Delhi University are solely based on Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) scores.

Earlier, the university provided admissions based on the merit score obtained in class 12 board exams. The University of Delhi has published specific criteria everyone must satisfy to be eligible for admission.

Those interested in applying for the exam must understand the criteria, qualifications, and subjects required to pursue a particular program at DU.

The exam pattern for each course varies, and similarly, the eligibility requirements too. 

CUET 2023 Important Update: Did you know the CUET 2023 dates have been released? NTA issued a public notice on 15 December for CUET, NEET, and JEE Mains aspirants notifying the important CUET 2023 Exam Dates for the next academic year. Application process to begin from 1st week of February.

Delhi University Eligibility Criteria after CUET 2023

Appearing for the NTA CUET exam is the only way to enter Delhi University and its affiliated colleges. As per the new admission process, the best of four marks policy has been replaced by the best CUET score for DU admissions.

As said above, the eligibility criteria vary for each program. Hence, knowing the required eligibility for a particular course at DU is essential.

The CUET DU Eligibility Criteria is categorized under three parameters as explained below:

  • One language paper (compulsory)
  • Three domain subjects (compulsory)
  • Minimum percentage in language paper
  • DU also highly recommends students attend the General Test (Section 3)

CUET General Eligibility Requirement 2023

According to the CUET Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023, there is no age limit to apply for the entrance exam. DU also does not impose any age eligibility requirement either. 

To write CUET, you must have valid scores in class 12, and specific eligibility requirements are listed below.  

Students with one year gap can also apply at DU. 

CUET DU Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.Sc. (Hons.) Anthropology and Biological Sciences

Before proceeding with the CUET application form, you must check the required eligibility criteria for admission to Delhi University.

  • To get admission to the B.Sc. (Hons.) Anthropology program, you must have chosen any one language paper from section 1A and three mandatory domain subjects that include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry in the CUET entrance exam.
  • You must have obtained a minimum of 30% score in any one language from section 1A in CUET.
  • The merit list is prepared based on the CUET scores obtained from the combination of three subjects in the domain-specific test.

CUET DU Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany, B.Sc. (Hons.) Zoology and B.Sc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science

  • You must have appeared in three domain subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry.
  • You must have scored a minimum of 30% in any one language from section 1A in the exam.

Delhi University Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.Sc. (Hons.) Biochemistry

  • According to the eligibility criteria for CUET, you must have appeared for three domain-specific subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or) physics, chemistry, and Mathematics, in the entrance exam to be eligible for the B.Sc. (Hons.) Biochemistry admission process.
  • You must have obtained a minimum of 30% score in any one language paper out of 13 language papers from section 1A in the NTA CUET exam.

CUET DU Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry, Physics, and Polymer Science

  • You must have obtained a minimum of 30% score in any one language paper of section 1A.
  • In the domain-specific test, you must have appeared for the three-domain subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

CUET DU Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science

  • Pick one language paper from section 1A.
  • Mathematics is a mandatory subject, and any other two optional subjects from section B in the domain-specific test.
