The University of Delhi is one of the premier universities in the country, and this year marks several changes to its admission process.

From the academic session of 2023, the admissions to undergraduate courses at Delhi University are solely based on Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) scores.

Earlier, the university provided admissions based on the merit/ cut-off score of class 12 board exams. The University of Delhi has published specific criteria that everyone must satisfy to be eligible for admission.

Those interested in applying for the exam must understand the required criteria, qualifications, and minimum required subjects to pursue a particular program at DU.

The exam pattern for each course varies, similarly the eligibility requirement too. Let's understand the eligibility requirement to study a particular UG program offered at DU.

Summary:

Along with several private, central, deemed, and state universities, DU has also adopted CUET from this academic year, 2022. CUET has basic eligibility requirements, like having valid scores in class 12 to write the CUET exam.

Once you are eligible to write CUET, you have to pick specific subjects/domains to be eligible to study a particular UG program, for example, B.Sc. (Hons.) Anthropology.

By attempting incorrect domains, you risk losing admission to the college, and your effort will go in vain. This article helps you pick the domains for each UG program offered at DU.

Delhi University Eligibility Criteria after CUET 2023

Appearing for the NTA CUET exam is the only channel for entering Delhi University or affiliated colleges. As per the new admission process, the best of four marks policy has been replaced by the best CUET score for DU admissions.

As said above, the eligibility criteria vary for each program. Hence, knowing the required standards for the particular course, you are applying for at the university is essential.

The CUET DU Eligibility Criteria is categorized under three parameters as explained below:

  • One language paper (compulsory)
  • Three domain subjects (compulsory)
  • Minimum percentage in language paper
  • DU also highly recommends students to attend the General Test (Section 3)
