CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is a standardized test for admission into various undergraduate programs across 250+ Indian universities.
What are the total marks you can score in CUET?
The test is scored out of 800 , and each exam section has a different weightage.
To achieve a good score, it's important to understand the scoring system.
- As per the CUET exam pattern, it has three sections - Sections I, II, and III.
- Section I consists of two sub-sections - IA and IB.
- IA covers language proficiency in 13 languages, while...
- IB covers proficiency in 20 additional languages.
- Both sub-sections have 50 questions, and candidates must attempt 40 questions from either sub-section.
- Followed by domain-specific subjects (Section II) and General Tests as shown in the picture below.

For Multiple Choice Questions:
To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer.
- i. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five mark (+5)
- ii. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
- iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
