As per the Latest notification of an Academic Council meeting held on January 12, 2022, JNU has decided to take the Common Universities Entrance Test administered by NTA (National Testing Agency) for shortlisting students for admission to various programs.
Admission to various programs at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will be made through the Central Universities Common Entrance Test from the academic year 2022–23.
The adoption of NTA CUET for student admissions will lead to a level playing field for candidates across India and reduce the overall burden of attending various entrances as well.
Till 2021, admissions to JNU were based on the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE).
