  • If an applicant has not appeared for the 10+2 exam before the admission date, they aren't eligible to get admission. 
  • As per the NID Eligibility Criteria, the upper age limit is 20 years as of 30th June 2021 for students belonging to the general category and 23 years for OBC, SC, and ST students. Likewise, for PWD, the upper age limit is 25 years. 
  • The lower age limit for the general category is that the applicant should be born on or after 1st July 2001. For OBC, SC, and ST, the applicants should be taken on or after 1st July 1998. A PWD applicant born on or after 1st July 1996 is also eligible for admission.

NID Eligibility Criteria 2023 for M.Des Aspirants

The following are the eligibility criteria if you want to get admission to NID courses for the M.Des:

  • The base qualification criteria for applying for M.Des. is a 4-year degree or a 3-year degree from any specialization after qualifying for the higher secondary (10+2) exam. 
  • An applicant with a full-time diploma of at least 4-years in the field of fine arts/design/applied arts/architecture after qualifying for the class 12 examination is likewise eligible to apply for M.des. Course. A 4-year bachelor's degree or a diploma is needed before applying for NID's postgraduate program.
  • The upper age limit for students belonging to the general category is 30 years as of 30th June 2021. Additionally, he should be born on or after 1st July 1991. For OBC, SC, and ST applicants, the highest age limit is 33 years, and for PWD applicants, it is 35 years.
